Walk-in Strep and COVID Testing:
Parents who want their children checked for strep throat may obtain a throat swab without an appointment. The culture will be done by a technician, not a provider; the parent will be contacted regarding results and treatment. Throat swabs are indicated if symptoms, including a sore or irritated throat, with or without a fever, stomachache or rash, have been present for less than 72 hours. Please call and leave a message with the team nurse; the clinic will call back with a time to present to the clinic.
Children who have symptoms of COVID-19 may be tested for COVID-19 by a technician Monday - Friday from 8-9 a.m. and from 1-2 p.m. Parents should check-in patients in during these times. Patients should wear masks to reduce the spread of infection to other patients and staff members. The parent will be contacted with test results and any recommended treatment.
Georgia School Forms and Sports Physicals
The state of Georgia requires completion of a state Department of Public Health Form 3300 to attend school. Walk-in vision and hearing screenings are held Monday-Friday, 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Your child's immunizations must be up-to-date for base childcare and school registration. Pediatric patients are considered high-risk for influenza; parents should consider an annual flu shot for their children.
We conduct one weekend of school sports physicals per year; otherwise, these special exams require a scheduled appointment. Sports physical day is announced several weeks before the event and are open to all enrolled beneficiaries.
Well-Child Exam:
Your child should have preventive care visits at 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 2 years, and annually thereafter.
