Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVA)
Intimate partner violence, domestic violence, or domestic abuse are all terms that describe a pattern of behaviors used to exert power and control over a partner. Abuse can include verbal, emotional, sexual, intimidation, threats, isolation, extreme jealousy, and physical violence. The DAVA can be reached 24/7 via 912-217-6661 to provide comprehensive services including, but not limited to: safety planning, risk assessment, information about restricted and unrestricted reporting options; advocacy for a Military Protective Order or Civilian Protective Order, support during medical or legal appointments, and access to additional resources.
