Message Requests
Requests for items that may not require an appointment (e.g., medication renewals, referral renewals, administrative paperwork, etc.) can be done in the form of a message to the PCM team. To message the team, personnel must activate their MHS GENESIS Patient Portal account. Once logged in, choose “Send a Message” from the main page. In the “To” section, search for “Moody 23MDG Military Warrior Operational Med.” You may also call the appointment line and leave a message for the team.
- Once a message request is placed, the team has three business days to respond. Administrative documents may take up to 10 business days to complete. A nurse or technician will contact the patient with the provider’s response.
Please note: All military treatment facilities have transitioned to MHS GENESIS. The TRICARE Online Patient Portal is no longer in service.
Elective/Cosmetic Surgery
Active duty service members must have clinic coordination and unit commander approval before scheduling or receiving surgery. Elective surgery is defined as non-emergent surgery at the member’s expense, performed by a civilian or military physician, and is not covered by health insurance.
To begin the process, please contact the 23rd MDG Beneficiary Counseling and Assistance Coordinator in person or by calling 229-257-4355.
Referrals
If you’ve been referred to a specialist by your primary care manager at the MTF, please stop by the Referral Management Office before leaving the clinic. One of our referral managers will provide you instructions on how to access referral info and schedule an appointment. This applies to specialties that are not offered at the MTF and those that are only available in the network.
