At the 23d Medical Group - Moody Air Force Base Radiology Clinic, we strive to provide the most accurate diagnoses from the highest quality images in a professional and patient-friendly environment.
Diagnostic Imaging
Our diagnostic imaging services include plain film X-Rays to take pictures of bones and soft tissues. X-Rays use safe amounts of radiation to create images that help healthcare providers diagnose a wide range of conditions and plan treatments.
All routine X-Rays are walk-ins.
All other imaging services will be referred off base to a specialist.
Women should always inform their physician or technologist if there is any possibility, they could be pregnant.
Exam Preparation
Exams will take 5-10 minutes depending on your mobility.
No special preparation is required on your behalf.
You may be asked to change into a gown or shorts depending on the area being imaged.
You may also be asked to remove jewelry, eyeglasses, and any metal objects.
Childcare is not provided during Diagnostic Imaging services.
Children under 12 years old cannot be left unattended.
Any Parent with an unattended child during their Radiology appointment will be asked to come back, as you and your family’s safety is our top priority.
If you are in need of childcare for your medical appointments, you may qualify for Expanded Child Care through the Family Child Care (FCC) program at Moody, AFB.

Results
Within 24 to 48 hours, the Radiologist interpretations will be visible on the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
Patients in need of radiology reports should contact or visit Outpatient Records, this does not include images.
